Thanks to the funding from Taiwan’s Ministry of Technology and Science, Dr. Jackson was able to visit Taiwan for 9 days, from January 2-11, 2016, to promote p4cHI in schools and in teacher education. During the trip, Dr. Jessica Ching-Sze Wang, associate professor at the Department of Education from the National Chiayi University, took Dr. Jackson to our elementary schools to do p4c with children. Dr. Jackson was also invited to give talks to undergraduate education majors and in-service teachers at the department. On January 9, Dr. Jackson and Dr. Wang organized a p4cHI teacher’s workshop where 40 people participated and experienced what it means to create an intellectually safe environment for classroom inquiry and dialogue. With his great sense of humor, his friendliness, and his words of wisdom, Dr. Jackson has touched many lives, young and old, with his gently Socratic message to awaken the inner child within us and to always keep our wonder alive.
