COE Faculty Member Receives Federal Funding for Native Hawaiian Cultural Resources
Dr. Amber Strong Makaiau, an associate specialist in the UH Mānoa College of Education, is part of a three-year $90K grant program to enhance how Hawaiian history and culture is taught in Hawai‛i’s public schools.
A video produced by Olonā Media about the project does a fantastic job highlighting one of the unique ways in which the UHM COE and Uehiro Academy collaborate with both the HIDOE and other community organizations to support educators in the state. Click here to view.
